History of the Anniversary Glitter Button

In 1992, Carol Light designed a large pin-back type button reminiscent of the buttons distributed during Elvis’ lifetime.  This button would commemorate Elvis’ death in a way that would allow the fans to collect a memento from year to year.  The buttons were designed and manufactured exclusively for distribution through Carol’s store, Memories of Elvis. 

Since that time, the Anniversary Glitter Buttons are the most treasured button among fans.  The demand is so great that buttons from previous years now sell for up to $100 per button and are traded and sold all over the world.

The design has changed somewhat from year to year, but with always a recognizable style that sets the button apart from any other.  For 2015, the 38th Anniversary button is again offered in the tradition of the famous Glitter Button so loved and cherished by Elvis Fans worldwide.

It is with great pride that Carol again offers a button to continue the collections started so many years ago.  It is unavailable from any other source and will be a treasured piece for any collector.
